Former Dutch regulator of euthanasia now criticizes practice
Catholic World News – July 23, 2014
Stating that “some slopes truly are slippery,” a former regulator of euthanasia in the Netherlands now says that he was wrong to support the practice.
“Euthanasia is on the way to become a ‘default’ mode of dying for cancer patients,” Theo Boer wrote in an essay published by MercatorNet.
“Whereas the law sees assisted suicide and euthanasia as an exception, public opinion is shifting towards considering them rights, with corresponding duties on doctors to act,” he added. “Pressure on doctors to conform to patients’ (or in some cases relatives’) wishes can be intense.”

The hypocrisy of the Dutch in this matter is utterly shameful. On the one hand, they have a national day of mourning for the 200 Dutch citizens killed in the shooting down of MH17, while on the other hand they kill their own people, both young and old, as by law prescribed, in the hospitals of the Netherlands. Since the tragedy in Ukraine, more Dutch people have been murdered in their abortion mills than were killed in that plane. Perhaps MH17 is God’s judgement on the nation for this evil.
