Polish bishop supports reported Eucharistic miracle
Catholics in Poland flocked to a special Mass on October 2 to celebrate a reported Eucharistic miracle.
In 2008, after a consecrated host was accidentally dropped to the floor, worshippers in the town of Sokolka noticed a brown spot on the host. An examination my medical researchers found that the colored substance was human heart tissue.
Archbishop Edward Ozorowski of Bialystok said on October 2 that the “substance of Christ’s body or blood has become available to the human senses, and this also happened in Sokolka.” The Vatican has opened an investigation but has not made any formal comment on the reports.
‘Blood-red’ Host investigated in Minnesota
After a consecrated Host was accidentally dropped on the floor during Mass on June 19, Father John Echert placed it in water so that it could dissolve and intended later to pour the water into the sacrarium. Instead, part of the Host turned red, and the Host has yet to dissolve fully. The Archdiocese of St. Paul – Minneapolis is now investigating the phenomenon. . . .
